Getting involved

To get involved at this church there are a few things that we would really encourage you to do in order to feel at home at Chroma, but also to find your place and connect with other people in the church.

Come to a service

We have three services every week, with great children’s groups and fun youth activities on Sunday mornings. Visitors are always welcome and any weekend is a good weekend to visit.

Our services are Sundays at 9.30am, 11.30am & 5.30pm at Chroma Church, 15 Putney Road West, Freemans Common, Leicester, LE2 7TD.

Our morning services are identical and only differ by the time they start. They start with a time of worship, which lasts for about 30 minutes. Then someone will do a bible-related talk, followed by an opportunity to receive prayer.

Our Sunday evening service have a longer time of worship, a more relaxed feel, a different talk or discussion from the morning services and an opportunity to receive prayer.

Visit the connect point

After each service there is the opportunity to meet some of our leaders and find out more our about this church. Come to the connect point in the foyer and say hi.

To give you an idea of what we as a church are trying to achieve here in this city we have put together some information which can all be found at the connect point.

If you have questions about the Christian faith, we also have a ‘Why Jesus?’ book which is available from the Connect Point for you to take home and read through.

You can also pick up a range of information on our Chroma Groups, Baptism services, Alpha courses, Children’s and Youth activities.

Attend a Chroma Explored

Chroma Explored is the place to go if you’re new here, or if you’ve been around for a while but not yet connected. This is a three week course with Steve and Juliet, designed to help you on your journey with God. They’ll answer all your questions about Chroma, explain how best to join this Church family, and offer you advice on how to take the next step and move forward with God.

To sign up for our next Chroma Explored head over to our diary for the next date.

Join a Chroma Group

Chroma Groups meet around the City on different days and times, and are the heart of our church community.

They are a place to meet with friends, support and encourage one another, and get to know and be known. We have a variety of groups. A typical group meets for a couple of hours one evening a week, worships together, shares or discusses life around the Bible, prays for each other and eats together. We also have a lot of fun!

Some of our groups meet in the daytime and have space for babies and toddlers. Other groups gather around a particular theme such as prayer, prophecy, creative arts or community action. Groups may also organise outreach in the community and social activities. Essentially they are a place where you can belong, support one another, grow in faith and have fun!

Join a Team

Our church is made up of teams serving in different ways, from putting out chairs on a Sunday, to serving refreshments, creating media, having fun in the Children’s groups, operating the sound desk or many more. These are great ways to not only get involved, but also to get to know people.

The teams you can join include Welcome, Refreshments, Set-up, Media, Worship, Children, Youth, Car Parking, Sound, Information and many more. Visit the Information Point or fill on the ‘Getting Connected’ section of the Welcome Sheet on a Sunday to sign-up for a team.
