In Storehouse
Storehouse is a Leicester City Vineyard initiative, formed to work with with existing hostels and drop-in centres to serve the homeless, hungry and vulnerably housed people in Leicester.
We believe God is compassionate and cares deeply about the situation of those in need. We want to make a difference by practically demonstrating God’s love and acceptance to them, with no strings attached.
Rally House
In December, the Storehouse Project started renting a large property called Rally House. Over the past few months, two floors of this building have been transformed from a disused factory, into a place where people can visit and choose the items they require from the donations we receive.
The Storehouse project currently partners with over twenty different organisations and hostels throughout Leicester. Those referred to us from these partnering organisations can visit the Storehouse on days when we are open to the Public. Currently this is every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. We are also open for referrals on Tuesdays between 11am and 3pm, although these visits are by appointment only and must be accompanied by a member of staff from the referring organisation.
What we do
At Storehouse we provide food, toiletries, nearly new clothes, baby items and household items. We also donate second hand furniture. All of these items are free to those referred to us and those visiting the project are supported in gaining the items they need by our friendly volunteers.
