Journey
‘Journey’ is our Vineyard Youth Church age 11+ The youth start off in the main service for the worship and then go to their group on the first floor.
Our Youth Church was started in April 2008 with the vision of changing the lives of the youth we come into contact with. Our mission is to see Jesus impact the lives of these young people and mould them to become more like Him. We have a passion for building up a youth who worship God through the good times and the bad, who are excited about building a relationship with Him, who desire to study their Bible more, and who have a heart for reaching out to the community in which we live.
Every Sunday morning after worship we take some time to get to know each other, learn more about Jesus and pray for one another; hot chocolate and cake are always involved! At the end we hang out and play a few games together.
Youth House group
This September, in response to popular demand, we started a House Group for our youth aged 13-17. We meet every Monday at 7:00pm. The group is led by Jono and Lucy Bradley and Ruth Shepherd and each week we worship, pray, chat about certain issues, discuss topics and eat cake and chocolate. It has been a great bonding experience and a brilliant opportunity to discuss God and Jesus other than on a Sunday morning.
Socials
We currently have socials on a Monday evening (every 6 weeks) where we aim to have something for everyone. So far we have had a Wii and Chocolate evening (mmm…) and an evening of Megazone and Pizza (what more could you want?), and many more.
